Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11, entitled 'Sustainable Cities and Communities,' seeks to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. Additionally, SDG 7 focuses on ensuring access to reliable, sustainable, modern, and affordable energy for all. Within this context, energy efficiency and the practices related to its implementation play a critical role in advancing sustainability efforts. In light of this, the present study aims to evaluate both the importance and the level of awareness concerning the conscious use of energy within the Viver Independência Complex, located in the Metropolitan Region of Belém, Pará (RMB), Brazil. To conduct the analysis, a field survey was carried out using a structured questionnaire developed and administered by the author, comprising questions related to residents’ knowledge of energy efficiency and their socioeconomic profiles.
