It was questioned how the institutional reception and teaching of learning takes place in the face of the reality in which they live and how teachers can help in the inclusion process from a more loving and inclusive perspective. As a general objective, we analyzed the schooling process of children who are in institutional care based on the literature produced on the subject. As a theoretical contribution, we explain a brief history of institutional reception and the reflections between the situation of the student's reception and their schooling. For the methodology, the bibliographic method was used from the literature that addresses the theme and that even with its limitations, a sample universe was possible. And with the conclusion, we show the importance of the school in the growth and development of institutionalized children.
