This study aims to highlight the importance of preventive maintenance and the impact of its absence, which often leads to the necessity of corrective maintenance, as well as to address the associated costs. Research was conducted for a literature review, followed by in loco visits to analyze existing pathological manifestations, and finally, possible solutions were presented. The analyses indicate that the cost of corrective maintenance can be up to seven times higher than that of preventive maintenance.
