The system uses computer vision techniques to capture images through a webcam, process them in the HSV color space, and thus identify the predominant color. After identification, the system provides auditory feedback through speech synthesis using the gTTS library. The implementation was carried out in Python, using the OpenCV library for image processing and Matplotlib for visualizing the results. Tests were conducted under controlled lighting conditions, using blue, green, and red colors, and demonstrated good accuracy in identifying the predominant colors. This project seeks to promote greater autonomy for people with visual impairments, contributing to social inclusion and accessibility. Furthermore, the work discusses the challenges and limitations of computer vision in assistive applications, such as lighting variations and the need to support a wider spectrum of colors, suggesting improvements for future versions of the system, including its adaptation to mobile devices and enhancement of the detection algorithm.
