It is located in an area known as Invasão do Riacho Doce, at the border between the Guamá and Terra Firme neighborhoods. For a certain period, this location hosted the Riacho Doce Project, a social sports initiative that used athletics to improve the quality of life for the surrounding communities. However, years of negligence and lack of maintenance have rendered the space unusable, consequently harming the education of students. Therefore, the landscape revitalization project for Campus III aims to restore the degraded and abandoned areas, creating a space that meets the needs of Physical Education students and professors while also serving as a place for sports activities for the broader university community and local residents.
