Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9998Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) is based on the fabrication of components through the successive deposition of metallic layers. Among the available processes, Gas Metal Arc (GMA) is widely used due to its high deposition rate and ability to produce large-scale components. An alternative approach to optimize this process is the use of the Cold Wire technique (GMA-CW), which increases the deposition rate without significantly increasing the heat input. In this process, two wires are employed: an energized wire responsible for generating the electric arc and a non-energized wire that contributes additional material to the deposit while assisting in heat dissipation, thereby reducing thermal transfer to the base metal. The aim of this study was to compare walls manufactured by the GMA and GMA-CW processes, evaluating their quality and productivity. The results demonstrated that the use of cold wire improves productivity, making the process a viable and efficient alternative for arc-based additive manufacturing.Acesso AbertoQualidade superficialMicroestruturaMicrodureza VickersTaxa de deposiçãoSurface qualityMicrostructureVickers microhardnessDeposition rateCNPQ::ENGENHARIAS::ENGENHARIA DE MATERIAIS E METALURGICA::METALURGIA DE TRANSFORMACAO::SOLDAGEMEmprego do processo GMA-CW na manufatura aditiva por deposição a arco (MADA) em aço carbonoTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - MonografiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazil
