The methodological procedures employed in the development of this work were: a) theoretical review; b) collection, organization, and analysis of rainfall data obtained from the National Institute of Meteorology (INMET) and the Agrometeorological Monitoring System, which provides rainfall estimates from the TRMM satellite; c) construction and analysis of rainfall graphs to demonstrate the information and facilitate understanding of rainfall patterns; and d) identification of standard years using the Box Plot technique, according to the definition and frequency of the interval based on Sturges' formula for categorizing the rainfall regime. The article's results reveal a wide variability in rainfall, indicating volumes ranging from 2270.2 to 3507.4 millimeters. The average annual rainfall reaches a total of 2664.2 millimeters, a quantity concentrated between the months of December and May with volumes between 176 to 510 millimeters, and registering a reduction in rainfall from June to November with totals of 162 to 65 millimeters. Rainfall was categorized to represent the annual variability in the study area: exceptionally dry (4%), dry (17%), usual (49%), wet (23%), and exceptionally wet (7%). The monthly analysis reveals that 75% of the precipitation is distributed between the months of January and May, highlighting significant amounts during this period. The research allowed for an understanding of the characteristics of rainfall (annual and monthly) in an area that has been little studied by climatology, providing essential insights for the study of rainfall variability in equatorial climate regions.
