This happens in several parts of the world, including underdeveloped or developing countries, such as Brazil, which is one of the largest agricultural producers in the world. Brazil has strict regulatory laws, although with some deficiencies, but through them, certain restrictions are guaranteed regarding the access of pesticides. The benefits of the use of pesticides in Brazilian crops do not outweigh the damage they cause to workers' health because, there is a high number of reports of people intoxicated by these toxic agentes across the country, these problems can range from acute intoxication to chronic intoxication. Thus, in this work, a case study was carried out to identify the possible impacts associated with the handling of pesticides on the health of family farm workers in the rural village of the GETAT neighborhood - Tucuruí, Pará. The research carried out is of the quanti-qualitative type that it was done through the application of a structured questionnaire with 14 (fourteen) objective questions, which were: the socio-demographic profile of the interviewees, the work practices and the health “complaints” related to the use of pesticides. It was obtained as a result that the workers interviewed use different types of pesticides in their cultivation of vegetables and legumes, all of them need guidance regarding the uses, prevention and disposal of packaging, since it was found that cases were reported in the municipality. of poisoning by agricultural pesticides.
