In view of this, the present work sought to understand whether the Management and Operational Center of the Amazon Protection System has complied with the guidelines of Law No. 12,527 that regulates the right of access to information, when it comes to active transparency? For this, the general objective of the research focused on understanding the activities aimed at active transparency in Management and Operational Center of the Amazon Protection System From the perspective of the LAI. The specific objective sought to conceptualize the right of access to information, the laws of access to information and the right to the environment. As a justification, the relevance of the disclosure of information about the environment that is in the possession of Management and Operational Center of the Amazon Protection System highlighted, since transparency favors the awareness and involvement of the population in environmental conservation decisions. To meet these objectives, the case study method was used, which included the collection of information and analysis of academic publications relevant to the theme and a study based on the Access to Information Law and the Federal Constitution. The application occurred with the use of active transparency through the collection of data directly from the portal of the Management and Operational Center of the Amazon Protection System. As a result, it can be highlighted that the Management and Operational Center of the Amazon Protection System Guarantees the disclosure and broad access to information on its activities through the Transparency Services Portal. Among the initiatives, the projects for fire prevention and environmental protection, the estimation of fires and fire outbreaks in the Legal Amazon through an interactive panel, the collaboration of the agency with other entities and the relationship of the Portal with the community stand out. The limitations of the study were based on the small number of references on the right to environmental information that could be used in the research, in view of the importance of the theme. Another aspect is the limitation of the Service Portal, which is very effective in promoting active transparency. However, some fields of the platform require prior knowledge to be used properly, in addition to requiring a good interpretation of graphics. It is concluded that the Management and Operational Center of the Amazon Protection System Exercises the active transparency provided for in the LAI and makes information about its activities available to society. It is recommended that future research focus on the right to environmental information through active transparency.
