Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/7711This paper aims to present the results of the research originating from the Course Conclusion Work that aimed to understand the implications of teaching work and the factors of illness among teachers in the municipality of Breves-PA. For the theoretical basis of the research, we used authors such as Penteado and Neto (2019), Pinheiro and Masson (2019), Araújo and Moreno (2016), Zaragoza (1999), Oliveira (2012), among others who aim to understand the illness of education professionals. To achieve the objectives, we collected three hundred and thirty-one (331) medical records of teachers at the Instituto de Previdência do Município de Breves - IPMB, which were analyzed through the quantitative-qualitative research approach. The results indicated that teacher illness does not occur specifically in the municipality of Breves. There is literature that indicates that this is a national problem. However, in this municipality, there was a high increase in illnesses between 2017 and 2018, the biggest one being depression. This is a warning for greater care with the inadequate conditions for teaching work and the lack of institutional concerns and health care for these professionals, which requires an adequate environment and materials for work, as well as assistance from a multidisciplinary team in schools, since these conditions contributed favorably to the quality of life of the professional and consequently to teaching and the promotion of learning.Acesso AbertoAdoecimentoDocenteEnsino-aprendizagemIllnessTeacherLearning-Teaching.CNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS::EDUCACAO::TOPICOS ESPECIFICOS DE EDUCACAOTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - Artigo
