It is grounded in the works of Libâneo (2001), Lück (2009; 2013), Paro (1993; 2017), and Santos (2012), among others, who emphasize the importance of democratic management, management dimensions, and the effective involvement of the school community as essential factors for building an inclusive, high-quality education. This qualitative research was conducted through a case study at Escola Perciliano Tourão Corrêa, in Igarapé-Miri (PA), using interviews with the school principal and a member of the school council. The objective was to understand the significance of community partnership in school management. The findings reveal that, although institutional mechanisms such as the school council are in place, their effectiveness in fostering democratic management is limited by the community’s lack of engagement, insufficient dialogue among its members, the persistence of hierarchical practices, and socioeconomic, structural, and cultural barriers to family involvement.
