A theoretical review was followed by simulations in Scilab software, using two second-order systems: one with an underdamped step response and the other critically damped. Tests were conducted for unit step response and step sequences with load disturbances and random noise. The controllers’ performance was evaluated using indices such as IAE, ISE, ITAE, ITSE, ISU, and J (ISE+ISU), considering accuracy, response time, and robustness against disturbances. Results showed that the PID controller performed well in simple systems, while the Fuzzy controller excelled in scenarios with disturbances and noise, demonstrating greater robustness and adaptability. The use of the SCIFLT toolbox in Scilab was essential for implementing the Fuzzy control techniques. It is concluded that, although the PID controller is simpler, the Fuzzy controller proved more suitable for systems subject to disturbances, standing out in terms of adaptability and robustness.Acesso AbertoControle Proporcional-Integral-DerivativoControle FuzzySistemas de Controle AutomáticoProportional-Integral-Derivative ControlFuzzy ControlAutomatic Control SystemsSoftware ScilabCNPQ::ENGENHARIAS::ENGENHARIA ELETRICA.
