One of the impacts of this production is the generation of large amounts of heavy waste, that are harmful to the environment. The need to find a sustainable way to dispose of waste led the cement industry to find in co-processing a possibility to reuse these rejects. The objective of this study was to perform a literature review on the co-processing of waste in clinker kilns, highlighting the national and global panoramas, as well as the specificities of the reuse process and its parameters according to Brazilian Standards.
