Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9161The objective of this article is to analyze the social expectations of women in Pará between 1930 and 1933, based on letters sent to the intervener Magalhães Barata, seeking to understand their experiences and how they used writing as a tool for advocacy. The research adopts a qualitative and quantitative methodology based on the collection and analysis of this correspondence, which made it possible to identify patterns of requests and cultural elements present in the narratives. The results indicate that the letters reveal not only requests for assistance, but also strategies of agency and the search for recognition in a society marked by economic inequalities and the absence of public policies that served women. This evidence demonstrates women's social vulnerability and their capacity for agency, valuing their voices as an essential part of the social history of the Amazon.Acesso AbertoAgência femininaMulheres paraensesCartas ao InterventorHistória Social da AmazôniaExpectativas de gêneroFemale agencyWomen from ParáLetters to the IntervenerSocial History of the AmazonGender expectationsCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS::HISTORIA::HISTORIA DO BRASIL::HISTORIA REGIONAL DO BRASILCartas ao Interventor: vozes femininas e estratégias de sobrevivência no Pará (1930-1933)Trabalho de Curso - Graduação - ArtigoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazil
