Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9894This paper brings together two studies previously presented at scientific events and published in their respective conference proceedings, both focusing on the Abaetetuba Municipal Mathematics Fair (FEMAT), organized by the Center for Teaching, Research, and Extension in Mathematics (NEPEM) at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), Abaetetuba Campus. The first study analyzes the participation of scholarship students from the Institutional Teaching Initiation Scholarship Program (PIBID) and the Pedagogical Residency Program (PRP) in the first FEMAT (2023) through a qualitative approach based on documentary analysis. The second study presents an experience report on the first two editions of FEMAT (2023 and 2024), discussing its organization and its contributions to the dissemination of mathematical knowledge, the appreciation of Amazonian culture, and the integration among the university, schools, and the local community. The findings indicate that FEMAT has become an important space for both initial and continuing teacher education, fostering student protagonism, the use of active learning methodologies, and the strengthening of teacher professional identity.
