However, the inadequate sizing of these systems may compromise their construction and operation, highlighting the need for tools that support calculations and facilitate access to this technology. In this context, this study presents the development of a computational tool written in Python and converted into an executable file for the sizing of tubular biodigesters. The system performs automated sizing based on either the number of animals or the energy demand of the property, providing geometric and volumetric parameters, estimates of biogas production and costs, as well as graphical guidance for construction. The tool was applied to the sizing of a biodigester constructed on a rural property located in the municipality of Breu Branco, Pará, Brazil, considering the extensive livestock management conditions and the limitations associated with manure collection. The designed system presented a useful digestion volume of 10.5 m3, considering a Hydraulic Retention Time of 35 days and a daily feeding rate of approximately 300 liters of substrate, with an estimated biogas production of 6 m3 per day, in addition to biofertilizer generation. The results indicate that the tool supports theoretical sizing, reduces the possibility of calculation errors, standardizes the stages of the process, and facilitates access to the technology. It is concluded that the developed program constitutes a decision-support and planning instrument for tubular biodigesters, contributing to the recovery of organic waste, renewable energy production, and sustainable development in rural areas.
