In view of the aggressiveness and recurrence of this tumour, the processes that contribute to the invasiveness of the lesion are investigated, attributed, in part, to the degradation capacity of the extracellular matrix (ECM). Enhanced studies that the dynamic protrusions of the plasma membrane, called invadopodia, can be strongly related to the degradation of the ECM, being the group of TKs proteins key molecules for the formation of invadopodia. In view of the promotion of this neoplasm, its aggressiveness and capacity for local invasion, studies that seek to understand the biological processes of this tumour are essential for future treatments and better prognosis to be achieved. Therefore, the objective of this work was to verify the participation of TKs4 and TKs5 proteins in the invasion process, in ameloblastoma cell line. The methods used were Cell culture, RNA silencing (shRNA), Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) and Cell invasion assay.
