Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8062The state of Pará concentrates two of the largest mineral deposits in the North Region in its territory, with bauxite being one of the minerals of greatest economic interest for export and industrial production. The mining activity carried out in an unbridled way, results in a range of environmental damages in the areas that are located. Thus, the implementation of mitigating measures that seek to restore the balance and sustainability of the areas affected by this activity is an essential part of the natural restoration process, with seed dispersal being fundamental in this process. In this context, we sought to compare the different spectra of dispersion between areas of natural forest (FN) and areas of PRAD located at Norsk Hydro ASA, Paragominas. A total of 374 species were collected, of which 305 were concentrated in FN areas and 50 in PRAD areas. In areas of natural forests (NF), biotic dispersal mechanisms were predominant, with zoochory being the most frequent dispersal syndrome, as well as fleshy fruits. The PRAD areas presented greater variation of dispersion syndromes, with zoochory, anemochory and autochory, respectively, as the main dispersion syndromes, in addition to dried fruits.
