Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/6460This work presents the importance of acari and cassava flour for the cultural and identity formation of Almeirinense, which, through the habit of eating acari with tucupi, pepper and cassava flour, expresses pride, identity and belonging of the residents of the municipality of Almeirim/PA . That through the valorization of memory, a rescue of cultural and social identity. To better understand the object studied and its relevance, the history of food, anthropology and field research were learned, which helped to analyze the importance of these two signs, acari and cassava flour, not only as a cultural trainer, but also as a source of survival for many who live from fishing and selling these foods. The methodology favored the history of food and anthropology for a greater understanding of these eating customs, in the municipality from 2012 to 2021.
