Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9983This Course Completion Paper focuses on non-formal educational experiences lived in a Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS) in the municipality of Bragança, Pará, Brazil. The objective was to analyze educational practices that I experienced in a Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS) in Bragança, Pará, considering their contributions to my initial teacher education. The research was developed through a qualitative approach, grounded in narrative, autobiographical, and memorialistic research, using my memories and experiences as sources of analysis and reflection. The results showed that the educational practices carried out at the CRAS contributed to the understanding of the social role of Pedagogy in non-school contexts, enabling learning related to the promotion of rights, the enhancement of self-esteem and social participation of older adults, as well as the strengthening of citizenship and social inclusion. The experiences analyzed broadened my understanding of the multiple fields of action of the pedagogue and strengthened my teaching identity, highlighting the relevance of non-formal education for human and professional development.
