Solar photovoltaic energy stands out as a promising solution, particularly in Brazil due to abundant solar resources. Within higher education institutions, the implementation of photovoltaic systems aims not only to reduce electricity costs but also to promote environmental sustainability and educate conscientious professionals. This study focuses on deploying a photovoltaic system in university buildings, serving as a model to raise awareness about solar energy benefits and emphasize sustainability. Methodology included site analysis, roof inclination assessment, shading points identification, and monthly generation simulation using PVsyst software. Results show that the proposed system, with 720 modules of 575 Wp and 3 inverters, generated 624.04 MWh. The initial investment was R$ 1,067,711.30, with projected savings of R$ 387,097.58 over five years and R$ 5,544,737.42 over 25 years.
