Given the need for more effective and scientifically based pedagogical methodologies, this study aims to analyze, through a literature review, the main neuroscientific approaches applicable to early childhood education, highlighting how these discoveries can support teaching practices aligned with children’s cognitive and socio-emotional needs. For this purpose, a qualitative and exploratory research was conducted based on a literature review of authors such as Brandi and Souza (2023), Mello and Grazziotin (2020), and Oliveira (2024), who discuss concepts such as brain plasticity, executive functions, and the influence of emotions on learning. This study is justified by the importance of supporting pedagogical practices with scientific evidence, contributing to a more inclusive and effective education. The review results indicate that applying neuroscientific knowledge in early childhood education can enhance children’s cognitive and emotional development, enabling the creation of more stimulating learning environments tailored to their individual needs. However, it was identified that limited teacher training still represents na obstacle to the implementation of these strategies, requiring the adoption of public policies aimed at continuous teacher training. It is concluded that Neuroscience provides valuable contributions to early childhood education, provided that there is effective investment in teacher education and greater integration between the fields of Neuroscience and Education, thus ensuring a higher quality of teaching and a more complete and meaningful child development.
