Brazil is a country of incomparable natural resources. It detainer the biggest river basin in the world, the Amazonia. With their natural resources and an increasing of development of human resources, the Pará state is able to become one of the most productive of fishery coming from aquaculture, because it’s in a strategic location for the implantation of this activity. In spite of have one of the biggest fish population in the world, is notable that the consumers of the area prefer none cultivated species. The fishery producers of the Pará state, differently of the rest of the country, already prefer to produce a local specie, the tambaqui. This behavior is laudable of an environmental point of view, inasmuch as the introduction of exotic species, such as tilapia which is the most produced fish in Brazil, can cause serious damages to the environment. In this context, it is necessary the development of human resources to give the support to the increasing of the activity in the state.
