The present study aims to analyze Brazilian scientific production in the field of oral health. This is a bibliometric and scientometric study, with a quantitative and exploratory approach. Data were collected from the Web of Science database, covering the period from 1974 to 2024. The study identifies significant growth in scientific production on oral health over the last two decades, which may be related to public policies in the area, the expansion of the Unified Health System (SUS), and the consolidation of the National Oral Health Policy – Brasil Sorridente. The results show that Brazilian science in oral health has grown considerably, expanding its visibility and strengthening collaboration among researchers from 1,300 institutions. Dental caries is among the most researched topics. Researchers affiliated with universities located in the South-Southeast axis of the country are among the most productive, which reinforces regional asymmetries in research development. Although the North region presents relevant initiatives, such as those from the Federal University of Pará and the Federal and State Universities of Amazonas, its participation remains smaller compared to other regions.
