In this novel, Jurandir will dialogue with the world exploring the sociohistorical context of the Island of Marajó and the Amazonian context, without regionalization, but accessible to any lover of good Brazilian literature. I use as reference the authors Nunes (2003), Maligo (1992), Assmar (2003) and Moisés (2000), both will talk about the works and life of Dalcídio Jurandir, and also have as reference while the metaphor language figure Cassirer (1992 ) and Lakoff and Johnson (2002). In concluding the analysis of the novel "Rain in the Fields of Waterfall", it is possible to affirm that the author brought a plot of importance to our literature, dealing with social life, everyday life making use of characters so significant for our society, speaking of these events with a simplicity, without the classic aesthetic appeal, showing the life of the marajoara as it is without folklore of the characters.
