Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8499The main objective of this work is to analyze the relationship between memory and belonging in the community located on the banks of the Tucunduba River, following the implementation of major urban projects, specifically the macro-drainage works. The research establishes a time frame that covers the period from the start of the works to the present day. To carry out this study, a qualitative approach was adopted, which allows us to consider the complexity of social dynamics and the interaction between the subjects and the object of research. The analysis was based on concepts such as memory, historical awareness, large urban projects, dialogues of knowledge and belonging. The methodology used included semi-structured interviews with residents of the impacted areas and observation of the research field, with the aim of capturing the community's narratives and perceptions of the social use of the river. It was possible to conclude that the community had its experience and culture affected by the work, culminating in pollution and socio-environmental degradation in the space.
