It was developed with the class a lesson plan that proposed working knowledge in plane geometry, through ruler and compass. The low performance perceived in the class and the little knowledge presented led us to search in the light of the literature for ways to work geometry with the use of these tools, trying to understand the types of possible constructions and the methodologies to apply them. The results point to a diversity of possibilities to work with lines and circles, exemplifying their types and functionality.
