Its objective is to understand and analyze the importance and contribution of affective relationships in the teaching and learning process of children in an early childhood education class at E.M.E.I.F. Perpétuo Socorro. It also seeks to contribute to reflections on this topic, considering that affectivity influences and provides benefits to the teacher-child relationship. The research adopts a qualitative and descriptive approach, using semi-structured interviews with the teacher, school staff, and children, as well as observations of daily school life. The theoretical framework is based on the contributions of Henri Wallon, Lev Vygotsky, and Paulo Freire, authors who understand affectivity as an inseparable dimension of learning and human knowledge. The results show that welcoming attitudes, sensitive listening, dialogue, respect for children's emotions, and the construction of positive bonds favor school adaptation, children's participation, and the strengthening of self-confidence. It was also found that affectivity is not present only in the teacher-student relationship, but throughout the institutional dynamics, involving staff members, caregivers, and other school professionals.
