The project was structured into seven functional stages, comprising an astable oscillator using the 555 IC, an inverter stage with a BJT transistor, power switching with an IRF630 MOSFET, filtering and comparison stages with NE5532 operational amplifiers, and finally the activation of a buzzer as an audible indicator. Theoretical analyses, simulations, and experimental measurements on a protoboard were carried out, followed by the design of a preliminary printed circuit board layout using EasyEDA software. The constructed coil, consisting of 28 turns of 0.5 mm enameled wire, exhibited di!erent inductance values depending on the presence of nearby metals, enabling the validation of the detection principle. The results demonstrated the circuit’s response to metallic objects of di!erent sizes, showing its e!ectiveness in short-range applications, although with limitations inherent to the experimental setup and the use of prototyping on a protoboard.
