This article investigates the use of social networks, such as Instagram, Podcast and YouTube, as dissemination and communication tools between the Collections and Museums Network Extension Program of the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) and the general public. The main objective is to analyze the impact of social media on the program's visibility and interaction, using quantitative and qualitative methodologies to conduct this analysis. Initial results indicate that, although the public tends to interact with content, the effectiveness of this interaction varies according to the type of material disseminated. The focus of the study is on the communication of university collections, whether with the academic or lay public, highlighting the importance of strategic communication to ensure the visibility and adequate recognition of these collections. It is concluded that the strategic use of social networks by the Extension Program is essential to enhance interaction with the public. However, the effectiveness of this communication is directly linked to the adaptation of the content to the expectations and interests of different segments of the public, which highlights the need for careful communication planning adapted to the particularities of each platform.Acesso AbertoMuseologiaComunicaçãoMuseus UniversitáriosMídias sociaisMuseum StudiesCommunicationUniversity MuseumsSocial MediaCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS::MUSEOLOGIAComunicação Estratégica na Rede de Coleções e Museus da UFPATrabalho de Curso - Graduação - ArtigoAttribution 3.0 Brazil
