This study consists of a narrative review that investigates the potential benefits of essential oils as a complementary treatment in relieving symptoms in people with ASD. Analyzing previous studies, it was found that essential oils have therapeutic properties, including sensory, anti-inflammatory, anxiolytic and calming effects.
