These procedures are mandatory and offered free of charge by the public health system, ensuring early diagnosis and timely medical interventions, promoting the healthy development of children in the country. The Red Reflex Test is a crucial ophthalmological technique in identifying eye problems in newborns, allowing early medical interventions to preserve children's visual health from the first days of life. Thus, the Eye Test plays a vital role in the early detection and treatment of ophthalmological conditions in babies, ensuring healthy visual development. Aiming to reproduce the experiment by author Dias and the team of the aforementioned work with the aim of verifying the educational effectiveness of the simulator for training the red reflex technique in undergraduate medical students. The present study is longitudinal, field and prospective. The methodological procedures were carried out in the Shared Accommodation (ALCON) of the Santa de Misericórdia do Pará Foundation (FSCMP). In view of this, the relevance of Dias and team's thesis on the use of the simulator as a training tool in the health area is reinforced, even understanding that their perspective was aimed at professionals already working in the area and who have experience techniques in TRV and being used with the aim of improving or analyzing the use of the method. It is concluded that the thesis of Dias and his team can also be expanded to the teaching-learning process of medical students at universities.
