Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9271This study aims to examine how the Institutional Scholarship Program for Teaching Initiation (PIBID) contributes to the development and construction of the identity of Geography teachers. The research uses an autobiographical narrative approach, based on the author's experiences as a scholarship holder at the Cândido Horácio Evelin State School, in Ananindeua, Pará. One of the central ideas is that a teacher's identity develops continuously and dynamically, shaped by practices, reflections, and meanings attributed to the act of teaching. In this sense, PIBID is understood as an essential public policy that facilitates the transition from university theory to practice in public schools. The methodology is qualitative, with two phases: a literature review on autobiographical narrative and teacher identity, and empirical research focused on experiences during the program. Practical activities, such as the ecological soap project, dialogic correction, and the creation of materials on the carbon cycle linked to COP30, are central to the analysis and record of these experiences. The results show that immersion in the school's daily life through PIBID integrates theory and practice, developing pedagogical skills, autonomy, and critical reflection on the educator's social role.
