It aims to raise awareness among residents about some serious consequences that have been observed over time on the stream where people travel, such as fish deaths, drying up of the stream, etc. As a methodology for the restoration of riparian forests along the stream banks, the students were divided into groups, each responsible for taking photos of the stream in the areas most affected by deforestation, and also in areas of the stream that were not deforested, thus analyzing both places and understanding the possible consequences of deforestation. Subsequently, the student groups presented the research results in the form of posters to the community members as a culmination of the educational project, to which the community residents (including the most experienced people) were invited. Teachers, students, and community leaders were present, and after the presentation, a dialogue was opened for those present to share their experiences, the changes they perceived over time, and their impacts. Following the culmination, a collective effort was made to plant trees along the banks of the stream in a completely deforested area, with the aim of reforesting this area and thus contributing to raising community awareness of the environmental problems generated by human intervention, and helping them understand that if everyone does their part, together we can reforest the banks of the stream. The students made an identification plaque for the project and placed it at the site where the trees were planted to identify it as a Cajueiro School project and encourage others to do the same and even care for the remaining trees.
