This being responsible for building and understanding the knowledge of teachers and students about their daily lives. the research began in the III supervised internship offered by the Licentiate Course in Rural Education, with emphasis on natural sciences, at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), at the Dorothy Stang Rural Family House Community School – Anapu- Pará, with a class of the 3rd year of high school integrated with the agricultural technician course. The methodology used to carry out the internship was divided into two stages: observation of the biology teacher and conducting, where the problem of studying genetics through play arose. During the internship, it was noticed that the teacher works her subject in a contextualized way, where she is concerned with student learning, always trying to teach the contents with some connection with reality and in an interdisciplinary way. While for the development and application of the playful activity that complements some basic concepts of genetics, it aimed to establish relationships between scientific, popular knowledge and playfulness, an activity known as Mr. and Mrs Potato, inspired by the characters in the movie Toy Story.
