In this context, this work aims to analyze açaí production in Igarapé-Miri (PA) and its importance for the territorial dynamics of the municipality. The study addresses açaí as a traditional activity, associated with the riverside way of life, and the changes that have occurred since its insertion into regional, national, and international markets. The research is of a qualitative-quantitative nature and is based on a literature review, analysis of secondary data, and field interviews. The results indicate that the expansion of the açaí market has caused changes in production methods, labor relations, and the commercialization of the fruit, increasing dependence on intermediaries.
