The inadequate use of environmental systems leads to the production and proliferation of negative impacts on ecosystems and, above all, on the human community. Environmental problems such as the intensification of occupation of areas of major instability, such as coastal shorelines, have triggered concerns about tidal developments along the coastline, causing material damage and even loss of human life and alteration of ecosystems coastal areas. In the case of this one that aroused interest in this research directed to the beaches of Caripi and Vila do Conde in the municipality of Barcarena. The objective of this study was to analyze the factors of environmental vulnerability in the municipality of Barcarena, offering subsidies to strategies of local territorial planning.
