As a result, there are frequent delays and cancellations of flights, hampering the air network management. Given the large number of occurrences of this meteorological phenomenon in Eduardo Gomes International Airport in Manaus in Amazonas state , and because it is a region that receives great movement of passengers , this research was conducted , aimed at studying the occurrences fogs and identify this aerodrome meteorological surface variables that exercise some influence on the formation of the phenomenon . This study used data from occurrences of fog on aerodrome Eduardo Gomes, Manaus –AM, during the period 2009-2013. Data were obtained from the International Code METAR (Meteorological Aerodrome Information) of the meteorological network of the Department of Airspace Control (DECEA) at the Air Force Command. The results show that during the study period the month of April, had the highest occurrence number of hours of fog. Another relevant observation in this study showed that the formation of fog occurs more frequently during the rainy season. It was also observed that the most propitious time to be formation of fog remained between 6:00 and 9:00 am. It was also noted that training occurred more frequently with the air temperature around 22 ° C and 24 ° C.
