It is clear from the social-political history that the country has traces and influence of this community. It is noticed that there is still within the school space an inequality in dealing with the approach of culture issues of this people mainly to the core of religious principles. In this sense, it is necessary that there is an adequate qualification in the teacher training courses and that the professional leaving the academy is able to deal with the diversity present in the school environment. This includes what Law 10,639 states, which establishes the obligation of this teaching in schools. The aim of this paper is to analyze abstracts of theses and dissertations that deal with the thematic African religious cultural diversity, in the formation of teachers of the early years of elementary school I. This is a qualitative research of bibliographic character. The methodology followed three moments. The first consisted in the survey of theses and dissertations available in the database of the libraries of three universities of Pará, defended from 2004 to 2019. The second moment consisted of selection and finally analysis. Data were analyzed using ATD-Discursive Textual Analysis. The results show that there is a great distance between what determines the regulatory guidelines of this teaching and the teaching practice.
