The objective of this study is to analyze the Pedagogical Projects of Library Science Courses at Public Higher Education Institutions in the North of Brazil, comparing them to the pedagogical project of the University of São Paulo (campus in the state capital), in light of trends in the use of Artificial Intelligence in information units. This is an exploratory and documentary research study with a qualitative approach, based on literature review and content analysis. The literature points to the continuous growth of the application of Artificial Intelligence in different sectors of libraries. The results reveal that, in the North region, no course includes this technology in its curriculum, while the University of São Paulo course already offers two subjects focused on the topic.
