Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8495This work aims to create a temporary shelter for women victims of domestic and family violence in the city of Belém, with or without their children, providing a safe and welcoming space for those who are vulnerable and under threat. Domestic violence against women affects the most diverse social groups in society, not being restricted to a social class, or nationality, or ethnicity, or level of education, or religion. Belém has alarming data compared to the national ones and, despite the effective network of urban equipment for women, such as specialized police stations, the city lacks a shelter that meets all the demands of the victims. The creation took into account the needs and profile of the woman who seeks this type of help, based on a theoretical research on the subject, such as legislative, historical, statistical documents and architectural references.
