However, in northern Brazil, these communities remain poorly studied, making it difficult to conserve habitats rich in biodiversity. This study aimed to record and georeference the distribution of benthic macrofauna at Praia da Grande Frexeira, located in Vila de Beja, Abaetetuba-PA, in order to understand possible changes in fluvial ecosystems. The research involved the use of transects and photographic records taken during low tide, allowing for detailed visual documentation of the observed organisms. Although laboratory analyses to confirm the identification of the organisms as corals or sponges were not conducted, the results indicated the presence of various organisms with distinct colors, textures, shapes, and sizes, as well as variations in macrofaunal abundance during the fieldwork days, suggesting environmental impacts.
