Its objective is to discusses the abundance of mangrove oysters and associated fauna in the 11 banks analyzed, in the Mãe Grande de Curuçá RESEX and in the São João da Ponta RESEX, Pará, considering factors such as species diversity and the relationship between oysters and the environment. The sampling work was carried out in 2021 and 2022, during the dry and rainy seasons, respectively. To count live oysters, dead oysters, and associated fauna species, which also includes analyses of oyster population density and variations in abundance in different seasons of the year. Oysters are of great importance to the ecosystem, such as their role in filtering water, forming habitat for other species, and their economic importance, as they generate income for local communities. However, there are also major impacts generated by human activities, such as environmental degradation and the climate crisis.
