Acesso em:.Research work done in school, aiming to investigate actions and conceptions of teachers and how they use the Amazonian space in their science classes. Assuming that Science Teaching is still traditional, that the main didactic modality used in the classroom is the expository class and that the main teaching resource is the didactic book, it is considered relevant to discuss the possibilities of a method of teaching that can discuss methodologies that seek to motivate and perfect the work of teachers outside four walls of the school. Many teachers still find it difficult to work using investigative methodology; interdisciplinary and contextualized in their science classes, making the student aware of scientific knowledge. Thus, within this work, strategies for improvement in the actions and conceptions of teachers that can use the CTS approach as the basis and the aikehiad scheme for conducting the research work were highlighted. The methodology was based on a qualitative research with the application of a questionnaire with open questions giving the investigators total freedom to answer the questions, it was relevant because, all of them contributed to the realization of the research, put the way of how they work and the difficulties that they find in the schools in which they teach, five teachers and three principals were interviewed in three schools in the urban area of the municipality of Muaná / PA. The results obtained showed that the teaching of science is based on the transmission to the students of the scientific knowledge already elaborated, based on a pedagogical practice strongly influenced by the memorization and use of didactic books.
