Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/6998Due to the problems faced by the lack of interest and the high rate of school dropout in physics teaching due to the use of mobile phones in the classroom, the present study seeks to answer the following question: What contributions can Algodoo software have in learning the contents of free fall and horizontal release? And through the problem presented, the present research will have as general objective to propose the use of Algodoo software as an attractive pedagogical tool for teaching and learning physics, aiming to improve the cognitive development of students related to free fall and horizontal release. The methodology used was quali-quantitative exploratory in nature. During the development of the activities, computational simulations were applied in the Algodoo software containing a historical or conceptual analysis for the study of free fall and horizontal release. Data collection occurred with a class of 40 students of the 1st year of high school from a public school in Magalhães Barata/PA, Brazil. The results showed that the visualization of the physical phenomena modeled in the Algodoo software, contributes positively to a better understanding in the students' learning, besides showing the efficiency of the software for the teaching of Physics.
