Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/2702This study describes the vertical zonation of macrofauna in Farol beache (Algodoal Island / Maiandeua - PA) in different climatic periods Amazon. Samples were collected in the rainy (June 2011, 2012 and 2013 and March 2012 and 2013) and dry (September and December 2011 and 2012), along two transects perpendicular to the beach, with sampling occurring in six equidistant locations (50m) with four samples per site, since the high tide line of syzygy (spring) to the line of syzygy tide. We used cylindrical sampler (0.0079 m - 2) for sample, the material collected in the past 0.3 mm mesh and the retained organisms in formalin 4 % saline buffered with sodium tetraborate. Each collection was raised the profile of the beach face using the method of stay. In the laboratory, the organisms were identified to the lowest taxonomic level possible and counted. For each sample was determined richness (total number of taxa), density (ind/m²), diversity (H - LOGE), and evenness (J ‘evenness). The descriptors was compared between strata and periods, using univariate (ANOVA) and multivariate analysis (ANOSIM, MDS and SIMPER). 432 samples were collected, 48 at the time of collection, and identified 1,739 organizations representing 71 taxa belonging to the phylum Nemertea (1 taxon), Echinodermatha (1 taxon), Arthropoda (21 taxa), Mollusca (16 taxa) and Annelida (27 taxa) Orbinia sp (51%) Nephtys simoni (24%) and Armandia sp (7%) were the most abundant taxa. The dry period had lower richness (40 taxa) and highest abundance (991 organisms). Highest densities occurred in the lower intertidal in both periods. We observed the highest values of diversity and evenness in intertidal higher in both periods. The Beach Lighthouse, presented typical composition of sandy beaches, which is mainly dominated by annelids, with high wealth and low density compared to other sandy beach, probably due to large variation in salinity, high rainfall and river discharge in the region. The region were dominated by the MLS phylum Arthropoda, composed mainly of Gammaridea, regions of MLM and MLI were dominated by the phylum Annelida, mainly composed Orbinia sp and N. simoni. The richness and abundance increased towards the sea, probably due to the lower risk of dissection and amount of food available.Acesso AbertoBentos (Ecologia) - AmazôniaPraia arenosaInvertebrados aquáticosCNPQ::CIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRA::OCEANOGRAFIA::OCEANOGRAFIA BIOLOGICAZonação vertical da macrofauna bentônica na praia do Farol (Ilha de Algodoal/Maiandeua-PA) em períodos climáticos distintosTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - Monografia
