2026. 39 f. Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/10162The present work addresses the teaching of Physics, focusing on the wave content, highlighting the difficulties faced by students in the learning process due to the often abstract character of traditional approaches. As an alternative to the purely theoretical introduction, an active methodology was proposed, based on practical activities with rope movements and virtual simulations, which allows the direct observation of the phenomena before conceptual formalization. The research, of a mixed nature (quantitative and qualitative) and of the action research type, was conducted within the scope of the Institutional Program of Scholarships for Initiation to Teaching (PIBID), with 33 students of the 2nd year of high school at the Aracy Alves Dias School. The experimental procedures involved three systematic attempts using ropes of different thicknesses (3 mm, 6 mm and 8 mm), broomstick and ring. Additionally, a comparison was made between the static representations of the textbooks and the dynamic visualization offered by the PhET Interactive Simulations platform. The results indicated that the ideal pulse propagation described in the theory was not fully reproduced in the first conditions tested; The formation of a wave (in this case, damped) was only observed on the third attempt, using the 8 mm rope arranged horizontally on the ground. In the quantitative analysis of the questionnaire, 33% of the students answered it completely, while 67% left it incomplete. The qualitative analysis revealed that the students who completed the activity demonstrated greater mastery over the concepts of crests, valleys and propagation. It is concluded that the articulation between practical and technological resources makes learning more visual and meaningful, although the study highlights the need to explain the real variables of the laboratory to avoid the gap between the expectation of the textbook and the experimental reality.
