Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8787This article presents an analysis of the experiences lived during a supervised internship at the public state school Terezinha de Jesus Ferreira Lima, located in the municipality of Abaetetuba, with a focus on the management and coordination practices of pedagogical work. Understanding how school managers and pedagogical coordinators carry out their activities within the school environment is essential to identify actions that can improve the quality of education. The analysis is grounded in authors who discuss democratic management and the pedagogical role of coordinators and managers, such as Freire (1996), Libâneo (2013), Luck (2000), and Nóvoa (1992), among others. The methodology adopted was based on a qualitative approach, through a field study involving the direct participation of the school’s manager and pedagogical coordinator. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and direct observation, enabling an analysis of the practices carried out by these professionals. The results indicated that collaboration between the manager and the pedagogical coordinator is crucial for developing strategies that promote quality education. Furthermore, the importance of open communication and teamwork among all members of the school community is emphasized, as this strengthens educator engagement and shared responsibility in the pursuit of educational quality. In conclusion, the research highlights that well-structured school management and pedagogical coordination, aligned with collective goals, not only positively impact the teaching-learning process but also foster the development of critical citizens committed to social transformation.
