The research combines historiographical reflection with a decolonial pedagogical approach, investigating how the teaching of History can contribute to problematizing these colonial continuities. In addition to the bibliographic review, a didactic proposal was implemented with a 3rd-year high school class at Escola Estadual Madre Celeste (Ananindeua/PA), involving the analysis of historical sources from the dictatorial period in the Amazon. The results showed that the activity promoted recognition of Indigenous resistance, critique of official narratives, and valorization of silenced epistemologies. It is concluded that teaching History from a decolonial perspective constitutes a strategic tool to confront environmental racism and strengthen students’ critical thinking skills.
