Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/10447The Palermo Protocol on the Prevention, Suppression and Punishment of Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children is the conceptual and legal framework that has had an internal impact on academic, political and legislative productions on the subject. The document, ratified by Brazil in 2004, allowed discussions to broaden, with the inclusion of new modalities to be unraveled in the debate. Thus, this research seeks, guided by the question of what is produced in the current literature on human trafficking and how this production deals with the trafficking of women in the Amazon, to investigate and compare the different positions on the phenomenon in contemporary times, focusing on the reality of the Amazon Region. This study is necessary in view of the need to assimilate the conceptual scope that falls on victims from locations with their own specificities, given Brazil's continental dimension and the difficulties in ascertaining this at a local level. Therefore, based on a bibliographical review, followed by a qualitative critical analysis, the section Comparative Analysis of the Scientific Literature on Trafficking in Persons presents how the main academic contributions explain the social issues linked to the occurrence of the crime and how they relate to the provisions established by the Palermo Protocol. The Legal Amazon as a Scenario for Human Trafficking section examines the prominence of the Amazon as a favorable territory for human trafficking and its repercussions on the local population Finally, the complexity of the phenomenon as presented by scholars is verified, as well as the lack of production focused on the Amazon, with the recognition of the need for updated work conducted by researchers from the region.Acesso AbertoTráfico humanoRegião amazônicaProtocolo de PalermoMulheresHuman traffickingAmazon regionPalermo protocolWomenCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS::DIREITOPara além do protocolo de palermo: um estudo das contribuições acadêmicas sobre tráfico de mulheres na AmazôniaBeyond the palermo protocol: a study of academic contributions on women trafficking in the amazonTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - ArtigoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazil
